Alter Freund am Horizont

Thom Elysian · September 25, 2026

Half past seven and already dark. Out of Spandau on the B5, fog over the stubble fields past Elstal. Then the moon slides over the edge of the field: huge, low and as familiar as ever — an old friend on the horizon.

About This Song

Melancholic German soft rock with a prog atmosphere: clear chorus-and-delay guitars, analog synth pads, fretless bass and brushes on the drums, 74 BPM. "Alter Freund am Horizont" (Old Friend on the Horizon) is made for full-moon nights, autumn evenings, long drives and anyone who travels alone now and then, lost in their thoughts.
